At Yashlok Welfare Foundation, we firmly believe that employment is the strongest and most dignified form of empowerment. When individuals earn through their own skills and capabilities, they not only support their families but also reclaim confidence, self-worth, and independence. Our mission is to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women from underserved communities—both urban and rural—by equipping them with employable skills and connecting them to meaningful work.
To translate this mission into action, we collaborate with responsible corporate partners to execute manufacturing projects under their CSR initiatives. Through these partnerships, we bridge the gap between industry requirements and grassroots talent, ensuring that women who were previously unemployed or underemployed can become financially independent.
Our inaugural project, carried out in collaboration with Key Exports India, a reputed textile and garment manufacturing company, is a testament to this vision. Under this initiative, we trained and employed 18 women from diverse backgrounds—many of whom had been unable to secure stable income opportunities due to economic hardship and lack of formal employment experience.
Over a period of four months, these women were trained end-to-end in the manufacturing of raincoats supplied to Police Departments across India. From fabric cutting and fusing to stitching, finishing, quality checks, and final packaging, they gained hands-on experience at every stage of the production cycle.
This project not only created livelihoods—it instilled pride. The women were no longer just learning a skill; they were contributing to a product that supports the frontline protectors of our communities.
The success of this initiative has also opened doors for recurring manufacturing orders, ensuring continuity of employment. Moreover, the newfound skills empower these women to pursue further opportunities in the textile and garment industry, helping them build long-term, resilient livelihoods.
At Yashlok Welfare Foundation, this is just the beginning. We remain committed to expanding such partnerships, enabling more women to step into their potential, uplift their families, and shape their futures with dignity.
