Inorbit Malls and Yashlok Welfare Foundation Join Hands with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation for the ‘Swacch Navi Mumbai’ Mission

Inorbit Malls, as a part of its CSR initiative – Inorbit Cares along with Yashlok Welfare Foundation is supporting the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in its quest to achieve the ‘Cleanest city’ title under the Central Government’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. The support includes sponsoring reflective jackets for the Corporation’s frontline cleanliness workers – the ‘Safai Mitras,’ who play the most important role in keeping the city clean.
These jackets are they were crafted by underprivileged women and youth and packed by visually impaired individuals who are a part of the Foundation.
An official event to formalise the contribution was concluded today at the NMMC HQ, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.
In all, 3100 such jackets were be distributed for use by the ‘Safai Mitras’ or SWM workers, ensuring their visibility and safety during the ongoing cleanup operations besides helping in creating awareness about waste segregation. The ceremony was be graced by distinguished guests, including Kishore Bhatija, Group Advisor from K Raheja Corp; Dr.Kailas Shinde (I.A.S), Municipal Commissioner, NMMC; Sunil Pawar, Additional Municipal Commissioner, NMMC; Somnath Kekan, Assistant Director, Town Planning (ADTP), NMMC; and Shirish Aradwad, City Engineer, NMMC. This initiative underscores Inorbit’s and Yashlok Welfare Foundation’s commitment to community welfare and urban sustainability.
By providing these reflective jackets, Inorbit Malls and Yashlok Foundation together support the vital work of NMMC’s sanitation workers and contribute to the broader goal of a cleaner, safer Navi Mumbai.
