Yashlok Welfare Foundation, with the generous support of Inorbit Malls (India) Pvt. Ltd., proudly partnered with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation to provide specially manufactured raincoats made from recycled PVC plastic. This initiative is part of our larger vision under Waves to Wheels & Beyond—a program dedicated to tackling plastic pollution, fostering sustainable livelihoods, and enhancing road safety.
From Waste to Protection
The raincoats were crafted using PVC plastic waste collected from Mumbai’s beaches, the Mithi River, and surrounding landfills. What was once harmful waste threatening marine and urban ecosystems has now been transformed into durable, 100% recyclable raincoats that protect those who safeguard our communities.
Supporting Frontline Heroes
The beneficiaries of this distribution were NMMC’s dedicated workforce, who face heavy monsoon rains while ensuring the city remains clean, safe, and functional. Providing them with high-quality, weather-resistant raincoats not only enhances their working conditions but also acknowledges their invaluable service to society.
